About R-1234YF
The HFO that displaced R-134a in vehicle air conditioning. Operating pressures sit close enough to R-134a that system architecture carries over largely unchanged, but its GWP is under 1 — a drop of three orders of magnitude — which is why new passenger vehicles sold in the US now ship with it. Classified A2L, so recovery and service equipment must be rated for mildly flammable refrigerants.
