About R-404A
The HFC blend that carried commercial refrigeration through the R-502 phase-out, and still the charge in a great many walk-ins, display cases and low-temperature racks. Its GWP of 3,922 is among the highest of anything still in general service, which makes it a primary target of the AIM Act phase-down — R-448A and R-449A are the usual paths when equipment comes due for conversion.
